You watch your body, raw and exposed,

Nothing to cover the imperfections, nothing tucked in or forced.

Underneath the water your sinews float ,ten times lighter,

As the waves roll of your skin, in places with skin loose and tighter.

Your stretch marks streaks through your thighs like lighting bolts

Marked by the embers of the smothered fire in your mind , your stomach revolts.

As you stare down at your submerged scars, at your own manslaughter

Struggling not to drown yourself in your thoughts, to break the surface of the water.
